Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Agent Ghar (Staff Register)?
It is the control plane for your Yaapan Ji household staff. Every AI agent — jobs, shopping, rail, legal, market and more — appears as one row in a register. Select a row to configure that agent without scrolling through all the others.
What do the autonomy levels mean?
Advisory means the agent only informs and recommends. Supervised means it prepares actions but always asks you before acting. Autonomous means it may complete safe, reversible actions on its own. You can change the level per agent from the Access tab.
Why are some agents locked to Advisory?
Agents dealing with regulated actions are permanently advisory. The Rail Yatra agent never books tickets (Railways Act §143 — booking stays in the official IRCTC app) and the Share Market agent never trades. The lock reason is shown next to the disabled control.
What is the difference between an agent toggle and a capability toggle?
The agent toggle turns a staff member on or off. A capability is a specific skill the chat assistant may invoke (for example PDF Merge). A feature works only when both the agent and its capability are enabled — the Access tab shows them side by side so you can check both in one place.
What is the Personal Context Vault?
A small set of facts about you — name, state, income band, skills — that agents may read to personalize results. Each vault field lists exactly which agents use it, so you always know why a fact is being asked for.
Where is my configuration stored?
Everything is saved in your browser's local storage instantly. If you sign in, it also syncs to your private Yaapan profile so the Telegram/WhatsApp bot and your other devices see the same settings.
Do settings sync across devices?
Yes, when you sign in with Google. Changes made on another device are applied here in place with a small notification — the page never reloads on its own, and unsaved edits on this device are pushed up rather than overwritten.
What happens when I disable an agent?
The agent stops acting everywhere: chat commands answer that it is disabled, and its section drops out of your Morning Brief. Its configuration is kept, so re-enabling restores everything exactly as it was.
How do I jump straight to one agent's settings?
Every selection has a deep link — for example /agents#agent/yatra_agent opens the Rail Yatra agent directly. Links from Telegram messages and the homepage use these anchors, and you can bookmark them.
How do I configure the Morning Brief?
Open the Morning Brief agent under Content & Briefings. You can set the item budget, Hindi tadka flavor level and the Adalat sync policy, and review the last sent brief in its Activity tab. Which sections appear follows each agent's own on/off toggle.
Is any of this data shared with third parties?
No. Vault context and agent configuration live in your browser and, if signed in, in your own private Firestore profile that only your account and your Yaapan bot can read. Nothing is sold or shared.
Will new agents appear here automatically?
Yes. The register is driven by a declarative agent registry, so newly launched agents (Muneem the household CA, Kar the tax agent, and others) appear as new rows in their life-domain group with sensible defaults — the page never gets longer.
